About Products
We use the word "Product" to cover Songs, Albums and free downloads. You can also manage Categories in this section - this is essential for organizing your products.

Creating an Album
An album is a collection of songs, just like you'd expect. Here you can create a new album and then proceed to add songs.
To create an album:
- On the start screen, click New Album.
- You will go to a new screen. This screen is divided into different sections:
General
- Enter a Product Number - this can be any number you want.
- Enter a Release Date in the format MM/DD/YYYY (month, day, year)
- Very important - enter the name of the Artist and the album Title.
- Write a short text about the album - this will be visible in the list view.
- Add more text if you want for the detail view. You don't need to repeat the short description here - that's shown in the detail view, too.
- Select categories for the album - you don't have to select three categories; one is usually enough.
- Select whether or not you want the album to be displayed in the store immediately. Default is "No" because the album has no songs yet. You can change this to "Yes" when you've finished adding songs or just display the album now.
Mailing List
- Select a mailing list - anyone who buys this product will automatically be added to this mailing list.
Price
- Enter a price for the album in every currency used in the store OR check Free Download if you want to provide this album for free.
Note: visit the PayPal site for useful information on using multiple currencies. You may also find a currency converter helpful...
- Set a Link Limit - how often a customer can use the download link. Default is 3 times.
- Set a Link Expire time - the customer has this many hours to download the album before the link expires. Default is 24 hours.
Art Work
You can provide art work for the album - a CD cover that customers can print out at home plus small images for displaying the album in the store.
- Enter the path of the CD cover file or Browse to find it.
- Enter the path of the album small image file or Browse to find it.
- Enter the path of the album large image file or Browse to find it.
- Click Create and you're finished.

Finding an Album
Here you can see all your albums. You can sort the list by clicking the letters or use Find in... to find specific albums. To delete an album, click the trashcan icon.
To find an album:
- On the start screen, click Find Album.
- You will go to a new screen showing a list of albums. Click Next to see the next page of the list, or click the numbers to jump to specific pages.

Creating a Song
A song is a digital recording of a song, usually in mp3 format. A song also includes a sample file - customers can listen to this before they buy.
To create a song:
- On the start screen, click New Song.
- You will go to a new screen. This screen is divided into different sections:
General
- Enter the Running Time for the song - you can see this when you encode the song or if you play the song in an mp3 player.
- Enter a Song Number - this can be any number you want, like an ID number. It doesn't affect the tracklisting.
- Very important - enter the name of the Artist and the album Title.
- Select whether or not you want to sell the song on its own or only as part of an album. Default is "Yes".
Price
- Enter a price for the song in every currency used in the store OR check Free Download if you want to provide this song for free.

Music Files
- Enter the path of the song file for download or Browse to find it.
- Enter the path of the sample file or Browse to find it.
- Click Create and you're finished.

Finding a Song

Creating a Category
Categories organize your albums like a catalog or floor sections in a "real-world" CD shop. You can organize your categories however you want.
To create a category:
- On the start screen, click New Category.
- You will go to a new screen. Here, enter a Name for the category.
- Select Parent Category - the new category will be placed below the parent in the category hierarchy. In other words, the new category will be a sub-category of the category selected here.
- Write a description for the category if you want.
- Select how albums in this category are sorted - alphabetically by Artist or Title, in order of Release Date or simply by Product Number.
- Click Create and you're finished.
Finding a Category
Here you can see all your Categories. You can use Find: to find specific categories. This is a simple list of all categories - the hierarchy of categories and sub-categories is visible in the storefront.
To find a category:
- On the start screen, click Find Category.
- You will go to a new screen showing a list of categories. Click Next to see the next page of the list, or click the numbers to jump to specific pages.

Sending a Download
You can send free songs as a bonus to faithful customers, as an incentive to buy more or as information for the press.
To send a download:
- On the start screen, click Send Download.
- You will go to a new screen. First, select which album or song you want to send using Download: Choose a product.
- Set a Link Limit - how often a customer can use the download link. Default is 3 times.
- Set a Link Expire time - the customer has this many hours to download the album before the link expires. Default is 24 hours.
- Choose who you want to send the download to - a single e-mail address or a mailing list. Select the mailing list if required.
- Write the e-mail message that will carry the free download.
- Change the format and time delay if required.
- Click Send Message and you're finished.

Viewing Download Links
Here you can see a list of all download links sorted by status. Click Next to see the next page of the list, or click the numbers to jump to specific pages.
To view download links:
- On the start screen, click Show Download Links.
- You will go to a new screen. Click Next to see the next page of the list, or click the numbers to jump to specific pages.
